Best Rust servers
26 lists, each ranked by the players on it right now.
This page is the index for every Rust server list on the site. Each entry gives the number of servers it holds right now and the three busiest servers in it, taken from live player counts refreshed every five minutes. Open a list and the full set is ordered by current population. No server pays for its position. If a placement is ever sold, it is marked as sponsored.

Play style
Group size
Gather rate
Region
The lists split along four lines: play style, group size, gather rate and region.
Play style covers the ground rules a server runs: vanilla, modded, official, community, PvE, roleplay, primitive, zombie, battlefield, creative, build, aim training and tutorial. Group size covers solo, duo and trio servers. Gather rate covers 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x and 10x-plus. Region covers EU, US and AU. A server can appear on several lists at once, because it can match several rules at once.
Two further lists are built from the clock rather than from settings. Servers that wiped today shows fresh maps, and the wipe schedule shows what is coming. The full server browser adds filters for region, type, group limit and wipe day. Live status shows whether a server is answering right now.
Questions
4 answers about this page and the numbers on it.
How is each list ordered?
Full lists are ordered by player count, read from each server's public listing and refreshed every five minutes. A server with more players online sits above one with fewer. The Rank column on a full list page looks at the last week hour by hour, so a server that stays busy across the week ranks above one that only fills after a wipe.
Can a server pay to appear higher on a list?
No. Position comes from the player count alone. If a placement is ever sold, it will be labelled as sponsored and kept outside the live ordering. A quiet server falls down the list within five minutes.
How do I choose between two servers with similar populations?
Compare the settings on each server page: wipe schedule, group limit, map size and region. A server that wiped yesterday and a server that wiped a week ago can hold the same population but play very differently. The group limit matters most if you play alone or in a small team.
Why does one server appear in several categories?
The lists are built from published settings, names and tags, and a server can match more than one rule. A 2x EU server with a trio limit appears in the 2x, EU and trio lists. Opening the same server from any of them shows the same live figures.
