Best Rust Servers tracks every public Rust server. We read the full server list every five minutes. This page compares the current total with what is normal for this hour of the day, using 48 hours of readings.

Reading the numbers
A typical hour has a stable count. We use the median of the same hour on the previous two days as the baseline. If the current count is 85% of that baseline or higher, servers are up. Below 50% is an outage. Between those is a partial outage.
48-hour charts
Two charts show the last 48 hours. The first is the number of servers online. The second is the total players. Both are updated every five minutes. You can see when the count dropped and whether it has recovered.

The largest servers by player count are listed below the charts. For each, you see its current status and when it was last seen. If a server is missing, its page shows the last reading.
If your game shows no servers
If this page says servers are up but your server browser is empty, the problem is between you and Steam.
- Restart Steam and Rust. A stale Steam login can hide the list.
- Check your server browser filters. A region or tag can hide everything.
- Steam may be down. When Steam's list is out, every game's browser empties and this page often shows a drop.
- On force wipe day, servers restart one by one. Update Rust first.
- A VPN or strict firewall can block the UDP traffic the browser uses.
