Roleplay Rust servers
This page lists every public Rust server that uses the roleplay tag or has 'roleplay' in its name. Each row shows the live player count, the next wipe date and the server's settings. The table is updated every five minutes, so the order reflects who is playing now.
On a roleplay server the players are the content, so the most useful column is often Rank, which tracks how consistently a server holds its population. Numbers worth checking before you commit: peak and average players over the last week, the wipe cycle (many RP servers wipe monthly but follow force wipe even when they list a custom date), and any group limit. Gather rates default to 1x unless the server name says otherwise. A large share of the servers here are PvE, and because roleplay is almost always modded, you will rarely see a vanilla RP server in this list. If you want to narrow by region, mod level or group size, the full server list has those filters.
Questions
4 answers about this page and the numbers on it.
What makes a Rust server roleplay?
A roleplay server adds rules and storylines to Rust. Players take on characters, run shops or factions, and often cannot kill on sight. Most run modded and carry the PvE tag, though some allow PvP in set zones or at set times. The server's own rules define what is expected.
Do roleplay servers wipe on a schedule?
Most roleplay servers wipe monthly, but many only reset at the force wipe even if they list a different date. The Next wipe column shows the date the server has published, and it refreshes every five minutes. Check it before you start a build you want to keep.
Can I play roleplay on a vanilla server?
Rarely. Roleplay servers almost always use plugins and mods to run shops, factions or jobs, and those need custom code. You will sometimes find a lightly modded RP server in this list, but true vanilla RP is uncommon. The vanilla list covers servers without mods.
How do I find a roleplay server in my region?
The table on this page shows every roleplay server regardless of region, sorted by current players. You can sort by Rank to see which servers hold their population over time, or open the full list and use the region filter. Server pages include the IP and port for direct connect.
More about these servers
Only tagged or named roleplay servers appear here, so a server running RP rules without the tag will not show. If you want a world where combat is restricted, the PvE list is a better starting point. If you prefer lower pop and a quieter map, solo, duo and trio lists cover group sizes. You can also filter by region: EU, US or AU. Server pages show the full settings, wipe history and recent population for each address.
