What is a modded Rust server?

A modded server changes the game rules with plugins. This can include higher gather rates, kits, teleports, shops or custom game modes. Facepunch requires servers that change gameplay to list themselves in the Modded tab. Servers with only admin or chat plugins are not considered modded.

How often do modded servers wipe?

Wipe schedules are set by each server owner. Some wipe weekly, others monthly or only on forced wipes. The Next wipe column shows the scheduled or estimated date. For servers that reset frequently, the Last wipe column will show recent activity.

Do modded Rust servers wipe blueprints?

Blueprint wipes are optional and decided by the server owner. The monthly forced wipe always resets the map, but blueprints may persist. Check the server's page or description for whether blueprints are wiped with the map.

Are modded Rust servers free to play?

Yes, you can join any public modded server without extra cost beyond owning Rust. Some servers offer optional perks or kits for donations, but these are not required to play. The mods run on the server, so you do not need to download anything extra.
